COACH
MEANS BUSINESS
Coach's Plan
Alabama's next governor will help decide whether our state remains one of the best places in America to start, grow and run a business. That's why the Business Council of Alabama's ProgressPAC is putting the full strength of Alabama's business community behind Coach Tommy Tuberville for governor.
In the U.S. Senate, Coach has fought to let Alabama workers keep more of their paychecks, freed small businesses from burdensome federal paperwork, and stood up to Washington mandates that drive up costs for employers and consumers alike. He knows how to recruit, how to build a winning team, and that Alabama's businesses are the ones creating the jobs. BCA believes he'll bring that same approach to Montgomery.
"Coach Tuberville has shown that he understands what businesses need to grow, invest and create jobs. From cutting taxes to fighting burdensome regulations and government mandates, Coach has consistently stood with businesses, workers and the people creating jobs across Alabama. We are proud to support him for governor and highlight the record he has built.”

Delivering for Alabama
Tax relief on overtime:
Coach co-led the Overtime Wages Relief Act with Sen. Roger
Marshall to end federal taxes on overtime pay. That fight helped deliver new overtime tax relief in the One Big Beautiful Bill, so Alabamians who put in extra hours keep more of what they earn.
Tax relief for seniors:
Coach led the Senior Citizens Tax Elimination Act with Sen. Tim
Sheehy to end federal taxes on Social Security. The One Big Beautiful Bill delivered a new tax break for seniors who spent a lifetime working.
Fighting the death tax:
Coach fought to repeal the estate tax, which punishes families
for building something to pass on. The One Big Beautiful Bill permanently raised the exemption to $15 million for individuals and $30 million for couples, helping keep Alabama family farms, timberland and small businesses in the family.
Cutting unnecessary federal reporting:
The Corporate Transparency Act would have required millions of small businesses to report their owners’ personal information to federal regulators or face steep fines. Coach introduced legislation to repeal the requirement and was a leading voice against it. Federal regulators have now permanently exempted U.S. businesses.
Stopping a costly overtime mandate:
A federal overtime rule would have raised the salary threshold for overtime by roughly 65%, driving up costs for small businesses and putting jobs at risk. Coach introduced a resolution with Sen. Bill Cassidy to overturn it, and a federal court struck the rule down.
Defending independent contractors:
Coach and Sen. Cassidy introduced a resolution to repeal an independent contractor rule, which threatened freelancers and owner-
operators who choose to be their own boss.
